Brunch
We would love to see everyone Sunday morning/afternoon at Beatrice´s parents for a light brunch and some hair of the dog (in Swedish: återställare), served in their backyard at Lotsgatan 5 (walking distance from First Hotel) from 11:00.
Accommodation
We have a special rate at First Hotel Carlshamn (recommended) as well as Best Western, just mention that you're in our wedding group. The price includes taxes and breakfast. First Hotel Carlshamn is located downtown just five minutes from the venue, while Best Western is in the outskirts of Karlshamn.
Other options
MC / Toast master
Beatrice's siblings, Lisa and Christopher Enckell, will ensure the wedding flows by guiding us through the evening. Please talk with them if you would like to have a speech. Half of the guests do not speak Swedish and only a few do not speak English, please keep this in mind as you prepare your speech.
Lisa and Christopher's contact info may be found on the bottom of this page.
Parking
First Hotel provides parking for all their guests. Additional parking may be found on the harbor across the street from the hotel.
Children
We love kids and one day we look forward to having a couple of them running around, but just not tonight. Please leave your children at home and bring your party mood instead!
Gifts and Registry
If you want to bring something else (in addition to your party shoes), contributions to an unforgettable Mediterranean honeymoon are highly appreciated. Following the wedding, on September 6th, we will depart to Barcelona, Spain and from there board the ship for a 12 day romantic cruise to France, Italy, Greece, and Turkey.

For all our friends & family flying to Sweden- your presence is your present and please don't feel the need to bring or give anything else. It's the most important day of our lives and we are honored that you are traveling from all over the world to join us!
Travel Information and Tips
Many of you have been to Europe (and Sweden in particular) but for those of you who haven't there are a few tips and generalities that might help you out.
- You have many options to get to Karlshamn, Sweden. There are trains from Stockholm (5 hours) and Copenhagen (2,5 hours). You could also fly from Stockholm (50min). All things being equal, Copenhagen is recommended since we live in Malmo which is only 20 minutes on the train from Copenhagen.
- Train from Copenhagen Karlshamn is pretty straightforward. The train departs to Karlshamn once per hour, the final destination/train name will be Karlskrona C. The train stop in Karlshamn is very close to downtown and you can walk or take one of the local cabs to First hotel (appx. 15 min walk). Ensure you buy a family/duo ticket if you have at least two people.
- Swedish weather is a cruel mistress and you never know when it's that time of the month. Bring everything from your swimsuit to jeans, sweatshirt and rain jacket and you should be covered for all her blowouts.
Good to know
- Your phone likely won't work except in Wi-Fi. Print/screenshot directions.
- No reason to rent a car, more trouble than what it's worth. The Swedish society is built around public transportation.
- Currency: In Sweden we use Swedish Krona SEK. We accept Mastercard and VISA in almost all stores and cash is barely used, but a chip on your credit card is necessary. In Denmark they use the Danish Krona, Norway Norwegian Krona, UK the British pound..so don´t think we´re all using the Euro over here ;)
Trip advise websites
For Karlshamn we can also recommend to visit the archipelago if weather allows. There are plenty of boats leaving from the harbor every day. However, don't plan on spending more than the wedding weekend in Karlshamn, it's a small town so spend your days visiting the larger cities and/or country side instead.
